Delavan Nozzle Availability • Manufacturer Statement

As many of you will be aware, the availability of many of the most popular sizes of Delavan nozzles have been unavailable to order for some time. Our last significant delivery of Delavan nozzles was before Christmas and we've received very little stock since. The manufacturer has prepared the below statement regarding these availability issues and when they expect to be able to improve the situation.

"As you may know we have been dragging large amounts of order due nozzles for several months. Other that the pandemic slow shortages of labour and resources, we have seen in recent months the following.

With the current limitations of 400 Series stainless steel, due to the abrupt reallocation of supply to support the US military in the Ukraine war efforts. Delavan has encountered a significant disruption in production for two key components, the distributor and orifice. Our efforts to mitigate the stainless constraints included a global search for sources that met our requirements for raw bar stock and secondary machining companies with excess materials. 

Unfortunately, the shortage of materials intermittently stopped our production schedule over previous weeks depleting our inventory of both finished and unfinished product.  With extreme efforts by our team, we located a limited supply of material out of India which we airlifted to our plant. As a new supplier, the material required additional inspection and machining steps before being fully integrated into production, causing a slow start up.  Now our efforts include ramping up our 24hr production focused on filling our manufacturing lines so we can start shipping finished nozzles on a regular schedule.    

 This is a significant unforeseen disruption we worked to address in a short period. Now, we are realigning production to our extended backlog of shipments to provide the best service to all of our customers. 

Although, as you know, we continue catching up with backlog, a full recovery of standards pace and lead-time is note expected till the end of April/beginning of May. Having said that we continue to offer you monthly deliveries. Of your existing orders.
